John Gillespie RIP
The news of John's passing was very sad.
I met John through his volunteer work with Charity Bingo. Many people benefited from the games: not only the charities, but the individual, lucky, cash-winning players. Bistro Monarca was the perfect venue, always with delicious food, big drinks, and super-friendly staff. Charity Bingo was a fun way to enjoy a Saturday afternoon.
I got to know John and Bob when they first moved to Pátzcuaro and had FRIDAY AT THE MOVIES. They were some of the first with a giant, flat-screen TV, with surround sound, and always filled the patio with friends and guests. Of course, snacks and drinks were always provided; John was the host, with the most.
John and Bob will be missed by all who knew them.
Rest in peace, dear friends.
