Through art, photographer Jesus Alejandre reveals the genuine Spirit of Michoacan. 'The Possessors of the Fish' is the final of Lake Patzcuaro’s six photographs. These 4 x 6 foot photos are part of the extensive, 31 photos in the “Espiritu de Michoacan” collection.
This exhibition opened June 27 at Patzcuaro’s Museo de Artes e Industrias Populares, with the largest attendance in the history of the museum. The gala opening included many of the local craftsman exhibiting at the museum. The Purepecha music, food and drinks were in abundance. The highlight of the evening was Jesus Alejandre’s unveiling of the final photo in this iconic collection.
